The contemporary art exhibition themed “Attitude Occurs” opened at Younan Art Gallery, SIP on Nov 15, offering a fresh perspective on the essence of popular art through an immersive, cross-genre art experience.

Curated by Jiang Xiaolan, the exhibition brings together acclaimed works from nine artists, including Lu Jiadong, Li Yuyu and Shen Jingdong. Their pieces are recognized as a form of “alchemy” refining and reassembling the symbol system of modern society. Six of the artists shared their creative visions with attendees at the opening ceremony.

Inside the gallery, the vibrant hues of pop art blend with the free expression of graffiti and the playful appeal of trendy IPs, creating a parallel “heterotopia”. Each work not only mirrors a reality shaped by consumerism and social media but also carries the artists’ unique insights into contemporary culture.

The exhibition is scheduled to last till Feb 28, 2026.
