The Suzhou Bureau of Commerce recently unveiled the 2025 list of “15- Minute Life Circles of Suzhou”. Four life circles in SIP are on the list.

A “15-minute life circle” is a community-based service circle within a walking distance of about 15 minutes. Its aim is to meet the basic and quality consumption needs of nearby residents.

One of the four life circles is centered on the Dushu Lake Neighborhood Center which houses breakfast diners, outlets offering handy services such as electrical appliance repairing and haircut, drugstore, cultural activity center, fitness center and so on. It benefits about 30,000 people in neighboring residential quarters.

The “15-minute life circle” in Qingyuan Community in Weiting Sub-district consists of 691 commercial outlets, covering 26 for basic support, such as convenience stores, fresh food supermarkets and farm produce markets, and 24 for life quality improvement, like those for specialty dining, health and wellness, childcare and elderly care. It has formed a complete, well-structured and comfortable community service ecosystem to meet the daily needs of residents.

The life circle in Jingyuannan Community in Loufeng Sub-district comprises 52 basic support outlets such as health service centers, 36 commercial outlets for improving the quality of life, 10 service outlets featuring advanced technology application and three schools, which basically meet nearby residents’ needs for handy services, fitness, health care, cultural experiences, education, green transportation and convenient shopping.

The life circle in Jintang Community in Xietang Sub-district provides convenience to about 8,800 long-term residents. It boasts 44 basic support outlets, about 80 service outlets for improving the quality of life and nine intelligent service outlets, plus schools and medical and health service organizations. Public-benefit events such as free medical service events, environmental campaigns and reading activities are frequently held there.
