The Chinese and French Young Designers Invitational Exhibition that opened on Oct 17 showcases over 70 works by young Chinese and French designers, injecting new energy into urban life and future development.

Concurrently, the Chinese-French Young Designers Academic Seminar offered deep insights to a series of hot topics like crossover integration and ESG innovation. The sketching activity at Jinji Lake allowed the participating designers to capture the lake’s charm with their pens.

Apart from that, the Suzhou Ballet Theatre toured Milan and Paris with the “Love Bridge—A Selection of Excellence” last month, captivating European audiences with the elegance of Chinese ballet. The “Playtime” directed by Jacques Tati was shown, and the Au Nom Del’amitie Sino-Francaise 2025 Suzhou Symphony Orchestra Concert was staged at Suzhou Jinji Lake Concert Hall on the evening of Oct 17.

Beyond the art, delicious food is offered. The Boujour!Chinese and French Food and Lifestyle Collection, held from Oct 17 to 19, filled the air with the aroma of crêpes, canelés, croissants and French cheeses. And the Chinese & French Food Week, scheduled from Oct 17 to 26, has expanded the culinary journey from markets to restaurants along Ligong Causeway.
