SIP is full of stylish landmark attractions where diverse events with different themes are held frequently.
The Lakefront 158, located on the left bank of Jinji Lake, features 10 brightly colored refitted shipping containers, hosting diverse businesses including cafes, dessert shops, upscale casual dining restaurants, unique bars, stores selling intangible cultural heritage-inspired products, and trendy sports venues. A fair designed for the National Day holiday features 41 stalls selling food, craft beer, cultural products, designer toys and other products.
An art festival kicked off on Taohua Island in the center of Jinji Lake recently, offering not only visually striking artistic installations, but also chances to experience exciting water sports and interesting parent-child interactions.

The area centering on the Ferris wheel has transformed into an “amusement park”, where interactive NPC (non-player character) interactions guide visitors into immersive fairy-tale scenes and the “sea of bubbles” has become the best-loved playground for children. Among other activities are also a poetry party, a craft beer festival, a fish-shaped lanterns parade and a Chinese music concert.

The celebrations at the old Xietang Street are designed to offer the participants opportunities to savor the charm of traditional handicrafts, costumes and opera, and the cartoon-related China chic carnival at Star Mall has attracted lots of young people.

The Suzhou International Auto Expo 2025 scheduled at Suzhou International Expo Centre from Oct 1 to 5 has brought together over 100 auto brands with more than 1,000 popular models.

Moreover, various bazaars and fairs are often held, enriching consumption scenarios with high-quality, reasonably-priced daily necessaries and creative products.

A series of events are scheduled at Lianchi Lake Park, including a paddleboarding race, a pets’ party, a concert and a crab-themed fair.

The newly upgraded Suzhou Yangcheng Peninsula Theme Park provides unique fun with its dreamlike ancient scenes, splendid fireworks shows and diverse performances such as the immersive live-action show called “The Return of Zhuangyuan”. The Nailoong’s Magic Time theme zone, created based on a popular Chinese animated series, is worth a visit.


Additionally, art exhibitions are thriving around Jinji Lake. The “Sunday Everyday” trendy art exhibition and the Chen Zhanghong Solo Exhibition are underway at Younan Art Gallery in the 688 Arts & Fashion Space.
Also at the 688 Arts & Fashion Space, four sets of inflatable installations created by Jocelyn Tsaih, an artist from New York, are eye-catching.
The “Van Gogh and His Friends” exhibition, a permanent exhibition at Ming Gallery, has attracted a continuous stream of visitors. On display are 53 authentic works created by Vincent van Gogh, Rembrandt van Rijn and other Western artists from the 17th to 20th centuries.
Among other exhibitions are the future media art exhibition at Jinji Lake Art Museum, the Grimm’s Fairy Tales exhibition at Suzhou Eslite Bookstore and the exhibition dedicated to the Fauvism master Henri Matisse at the Ui ART Center.
